Job Description:

• 1) Tends rod tape machine that separates and tapes ceramic coated aluminum rods and winds tape containing rods onto reels for subsequent processing: Places rods onto feed tray of taping machine that aligns rods in parallel configuration, applies tape to secure rods in place, and winds taped rods onto reel.

• 2) Monitors operation of machine to detect malfunctions.

• 3) Replaces empty tape rolls and removes full reels of taped rods from machine.

• 4) May perform duties as described under SCREENER OPERATOR to separate defective slugs.
