Job Description:

• 1) Tends furnace that melts scrap metal and casts it into pigs for reuse: Regulates furnace controls to attain specified temperature.

• 2) Shovels scrap metal into furnace.

• 3) Skims dross from molten metal, using ladle.

• 4) Turns valve and allows molten metal to run into molds to form pigs.

• 5) Removes cooled pigs from mold and stacks pigs in storage area.
