Job Description:

• 1) Drives and operates machine that lays, spaces, and automatically ties steel rods used to reinforce concrete highway paving: Starts machine, engages clutch, and shifts gears to control machine's movement along concrete forms.

• 2) Observes function of machine to detect irregular spacing of rods and missed ties.

• 3) Notifies supervisor of equipment malfunction.

• 4) Maintains equipment according to specifications.
