Job Description:

• 1) Tends equipment that forms wet pulp into bales according to specifications: Turns valves to regulate flow of pulp slush from main supply line to pulp machine headbox.

• 2) Starts equipment, such as vacuum and water pumps, mix tank agitator, cyclone drier and fluffer, shredder disks, screw conveyor, and compressor, to mix, dry, shred, and bale pulp of specified moisture content.

• 3) Examines pulp for specified consistency and adjusts panel controls to correct inconsistency.
