Job Description:

• 1) Tends mixing chamber that mixes clay and water to make pugged clay: Loads sacks and cakes of clay from storage area onto truck and pushes truck to pug mill.

• 2) Dumps clay into mixing chamber of mill.

• 3) Turns valves to regulate flow of water into mixing chamber.

• 4) Stacks rolls of pugged clay on truck.

• 5) May wrap pugged clay in burlap to prevent dehydration.

• 6) May move clay to molding room, using handtruck.
