Job Description:

• 1) Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating equipment to produce anhydrous ammonia by catalytic-cracking of methane gas, compressing gas, removing carbon compounds from gas, and combining hydrogen and nitrogen into liquid ammonia: Reads operating reports and tests results to evaluate processing operations and production efficiency.

• 2) Observes recording-instrument charts, meters, and gauges to verify specified temperatures, pressures, flow rates, and material ratios.

• 3) Correlates variations in instrument readings to diagnose causes of equipment malfunctions.

• 4) Moves controls to set or adjust automatic equipment to process specifications.

• 5) Performs other duties as described under SUPERVISOR Master Title.
