Job Description:

• 1) Interviews new prison inmates to obtain social and criminal histories to aid in classification and assignment of prisoners to appropriate work and other activities: Gathers data, such as work history, school, criminal, and military records, family background, habits, religious beliefs, and prisoner's version of crime committed.

• 2) Analyzes prisoner's social attitudes, mental capacity, character, and physical capabilities and prepares admission summary based on data obtained.

• 3) Explains prison rules and regulations.
