Job Description:

• 1) Tends filters and related equipment to wash and filter catalytic chemicals used in manufacturing styrene and butadiene: Starts pump to force water into and out of tanks containing precipitate.

• 2) Titrates sample of wash water to determine when solution is neutralized.

• 3) Pumps precipitate into slurry tank and wash water to filter press to separate contaminants and recover usable products.

• 4) Transfers containers of filtered solutions to storage or further processing, using hoist or handtruck.
