Job Description:

• 1) Polishes industrial sewing and knitting needles, using buffing wheels: Picks up rack of needles, using tongs and holds needles against buffing wheels to polish needles to specification.

• 2) Examines needles by feel and using eye loupe to determine if polished surface meets specifications.

• 3) Conditions surface of buffing wheels, balances wheels, and aligns tongs to maintain polishing equipment, using handtools.

• 4) Records quantity of needles polished, date polished, and initials work ticket.
