Job Description:

• 1) Inspects contract logging operations to ensure adherence to contract provisions and safety laws and to prevent loss of timber through breakage and damage to residual stand: Examines logging area for utilization practices, slash disposal, sanitation, observance of boundaries, and safety precautions.

• 2) Issues remedial instructions for violations of contract agreement and fire and safety regulations, and prepares report of logging method, efficiency, and progress.

• 3) May initiate bid requests and negotiate terms of contracts with logging contractors.
