Job Description:

• 1) Sorts logs in boom according to species, size, and owners' markings: Separates logs, floats them into designated bays with pike pole, and closes bay with chain or cable.

• 2) Opens bay and maneuvers logs into designated rafting or mill storage area.

• 3) May unload logs from railroad cars and log trucks.

• 4) May operate motorboat to move logs.

• 5) May assemble log rafts.
