Job Description:

• 1) Receives, marks, washes, finishes, checks, and wraps articles in laundry, performing any combination of following tasks: Classifies and marks incoming laundry with identifying code number, by hand or using machine.

• 2) May perform related tasks, such as mending torn articles, using sewing machine or by affixing adhesive patches.

• 3) May wrap articles.

• 4) May specialize in receiving and washing, or in finishing and checking, and be designated according to unit in which work is performed as Laundry Operator, Finishing; Laundry Operator, Wash Room.
