Job Description:

• 1) Analyzes data obtained from investigation of physical and chemical properties of metals, or processes used in recovering metals from their ores to select method, standards, and procedures of examination and testing and conducts tests: Analyzes operating records and test reports, or by personal observation and investigation, determines conformance to established procedures, methods, and standards.

• 2) Conducts physical, chemical, and process examinations, using metallurgical equipment and instruments for routine, special, and experimental investigations.

• 3) Writes report indicating deviations from specifications and recommends corrective measures for approval.
