Job Description:

• 1) Tends machine that shapes and smooths outside corner of bar jewels: Blocks jewels with melted shellac on circular metal block.

• 2) Places block in spindle of machine and positions work against brush.

• 3) Turns on power and allows machine to run until, from experience and by touching block to estimate its temperature, worker knows jewels are shaped and smoothed.

• 4) Inspects jewels under loupe to determine if corner is properly finished.
