Job Description:

• 1) Tends automatic sewing machine that tacks padding to prequilted fabric and hems fabric to form quilted border panels for mattresses and box springs: Inserts rolls of fabric and padding into machine brackets and threads them through guides.

• 2) May tend automatic machine that only sews hem on fabric to form border panel.

• 3) May sew cloth handles to border panels, using sewing machine.

• 4) May insert ventilating eyelets and attach handles to border panels, using punching and crimping machine.

• 5) Performs duties as described under SEWING-MACHINE OPERATOR, AUTOMATIC Master Title.
