Job Description:

• 1) Tends machine that folds precemented edges of shoe parts, such as insoles, platforms, quarters, and vamps to strengthen and smooth edges: Positions part against guide and under presser foot and folding finger, or between rollers of machine.

• 2) Releases pedal that lowers presser foot, starts machine, and guides part under presser foot and folding finger or between rollers to fold and press edges of part.

• 3) May repair uneven folds by pressing with hot iron.

• 4) Important variables may be indicated by trade name of machines used.
