Job Description:

• 1) Removes vegetable matter from felt by immersion in sulfuric acid solution: Mixes specified amount of sulfuric acid and warm water in carbonizing vat, and immerses felt in vat, using chain hoist.

• 2) Soaks felt for period of time dependent on thickness of material.

• 3) Periodically tests solution strength, using hydrometer.

• 4) Adds acid as required.

• 5) Removes and suspends felt over vat to drain.
