Job Description:

• 1) Selects diamonds according to type and size, for use in cutting tools and ring mountings: Studies grade, quality, color, and physical structure of rough or finished diamonds.

• 2) Sorts stones according to quality and type, using magnifying glass or loupe.

• 3) Determines size of stone, using measuring gauge or sizing plate, and sorts diamonds of same size into containers.

• 4) May weigh stones, using diamond weighing scale, to verify weight.
