Job Description:

• 1) Tends cutting machine that cuts paper tubing to specified lengths: Mounts mandrel of specified size to chuck of machine.

• 2) Spaces cutters along supporting shaft, using measuring device and wrenches.

• 3) Adjusts height to which shaft is raised when pedal is depressed to prevent turning knife blades from cutting into mandrel.

• 4) Slides long tube over mandrel, depresses pedal to raise blades that cut tube to lengths, and removes pieces from mandrel.

• 5) May tend machine equipped with saw blade to cut tubes.
