Job Description:

• 1) Tends machine that shapes and cooks dough to make tortillas and corn chips: Kneads masa into loaves as masa emerges from corn-grinding machine and places masa into hopper of shaping machine.

• 2) Starts machine to flatten dough between rollers, cut it into shape, and convey shaped dough through baking oven to make tortillas, or frying tank to make corn chips.

• 3) Inspects cooked tortillas or corn chips for color, size, and texture and regulates cooking temperature and conveying speed as required.

• 4) May be designated according to product made as Corn-Chip Maker; Tortilla Maker.
