Job Description:

• 1) Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating converter furnaces to produce metallic copper from copper matte, or in mixing, roasting, or drying copper concentrate prior to smelting operation: Monitors processing to verify conformance to specifications.

• 2) Inspects equipment to detect malfunctions or defects and assigns worker to make repairs or adjustments.

• 3) Demonstrates operation and maintenance of machines and equipment to new workers, and explains plant layout, processing techniques, and safety regulations to orient new workers.

• 4) May be designated according to operation supervised as Roaster Supervisor.

• 5) Performs duties as described under SUPERVISOR Master Title.
