Job Description:

• 1) Cleans coal or coke from holds of ships, docks, or areas around chutes, conveyors, crushers, coke ovens, and screens, using airhose, brooms, scrapers, shovels, and wheelbarrow.

• 2) May feed coal, using shovel and wheelbarrow, through crusher to obtain sample for laboratory analysis.

• 3) May extinguish minor oven door fires, using water hose.

• 4) May be designated according to work area as Belt Cleaner; Boat Cleaner; Dock Cleaner.
