Job Description:

• 1) Controls equipment to clean and neutralize waste bleach water preparatory to discharge into natural waterways: Starts pumps or opens valves to transfer waste bleach water from bleaching tanks to settling and mixing tanks.

• 2) Tests water to determine acidity, using titration equipment, and calculates quantity of chemicals required to neutralize water.

• 3) Opens valves to admit specified amount of chemicals into mixing tank and starts motor to mix chemicals with water.

• 4) Starts pumps or opens valves to discharge water and accumulated sludge into waterway.
