Job Description:

• 1) Assists CLARIFIER OPERATOR in separating mud from alumina liquor and in recovering soda from mud: Turns valves to flush lines.

• 2) Turns valves to divert flow of alumina liquor through standby equipment as directed by CLARIFIER OPERATOR.

• 3) Reads tank gauge and records sludge levels of mud settlers and washers.

• 4) Takes sample of mud sediments and weighs it to determine density.

• 5) Lubricates valves and adjusts packing glands to prevent leaks, using grease gun and wrench.

• 6) Cleans screen boxes.

• 7) Performs other duties as described under HELPER Master Title.
