Job Description:

• 1) Feeds chicle and gum bases into grinding machine, preparatory to making chewing gum: Loads blocks of chicle or other gum bases onto conveyor of grinding machine, using electric hoist or lift truck.

• 2) Starts machine and places empty containers under discharge spout to catch ground ingredients.

• 3) Shovels ground material into barrels on platform scale until specified weight is obtained.

• 4) May dump salvage gum into grinding machine and be designated Salvage Grinder.
