Job Description:

• 1) Installs equipment used to select, connect, and disconnect telephone lines in telephone company central office, following diagrams and using handtools and power tools: Positions switching and power apparatus according to floor plans, using chain hoist when necessary.

• 2) Connects outgoing and incoming telephone trunk lines to central office equipment, using handtools and following diagrams.

• 3) Connects and solders wires, using soldering iron.

• 4) Tests operation of equipment after installation, using electrical testing equipment, such as electrical pulse repeaters and ohmmeters.
