Job Description:

• 1) Tends automatic machines that cut ornamental designs into face of nonmetallic button blanks: Loads blanks into machine hopper, using hand scoop.

• 2) Starts machine and observes feeding, cutting, and indexing mechanisms.

• 3) Removes jammed blanks from feed chute, using wire pick.

• 4) May remove and replace worn cutters and abrasive wheels, using wrenches.

• 5) May place blanks by hand in chucks of semiautomatic, manually indexed machine.

• 6) May examine samples for finishing defects.
