Job Description:

• 1) Inspects buildings to determine fire insurance rates: Examines building for type of construction, condition of roof, and fireproofing.

• 2) Determines risk represented by adjoining buildings, by nature of business, and building contents.

• 3) Determines availability of fireplugs and firefighting equipment.

• 4) Completes inspection report.

• 5) May compute insurance rate.
