Job Description:

• 1) Tends one or more machines that press unfinished hat bodies to smooth and shape hats: Positions inverted hat body in specified size heated form, mounted in bed of press.

• 2) Pulls lever to lower ram and automatically inflate hat body to shape body and brim against form.

• 3) Removes and inspects hat for wrinkles and specific shape, and stacks hat on rack.

• 4) May insert specified shaped block in hat body before lowering ram if press is not equipped with inflation device.
