Job Description:

• 1) Replaces bow hair of stringed instrument bows, using handtools: Disassembles bow and removes spent hair, using handtools.

• 2) Examines and cleans bow parts.

• 3) Hand-carves replacement wedges and plugs.

• 4) Selects new hairs of similar color and binds one end with yarn and resin.

• 5) Secures bound end in one end of bow and secures it with wedges.

• 6) Combs hair and binds loose ends with yarn and resin.

• 7) Secures end in bow with wedges.
