Job Description:

• 1) Tends pumps to transfer wine from storage tanks to barrels: Inserts nozzle of automatic filler stem into vent of barrel, turns switch and observes readings of meter to verify filling of barrel with specified amounts of wine.

• 2) Weighs wine-filled barrels and deducts tare to determine weight of wine, using platform scale.

• 3) Marks or stencils information on barrels, such as weight and type of wine.

• 4) May load filled barrels on trucks or railroad cars.
