Job Description:

• 1) Hammers shaped steel bands into ends of timbers and railroad ties to prevent checking while seasoning.

• 2) May clamp, drill hole, and insert bolt or metal dowel through split timbers or ties to hold split parts together.

• 3) May be designated according to shape of band as Beegle-Iron Worker; C-Iron Worker; S-Iron Worker.
