Job Description:
- 1) Finishes hand pressed or blown glassware by forming and attaching lips, handles, and pedestals: Cuts required gob from molten glass, using shears.
- 2) Forms gob into handle, using wooden paddles to shape handle.
- 3) Drops gob into hand-press mold to form pedestal.
- 4) Presses handle and pedestal to glassware to attach them.
- 5) Shapes handle and forms lips by rubbing and pressing with carbon stick.
- 6) Smooths pedestal, using wooden buffer.
- 7) May be known by article attached as Foot Caster.
