Job Description:

• 1) Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in painting parts, equipment, ships, and buildings in ship and boat building establishment: Trains new workers in operation of painting equipment.

• 2) Inspects surface of area to be painted to determine worker assignments, such as sandblasting, wire brushing, scraping, and painting.

• 3) Examines surfaces subsequent to painting to verify adherence to specified standards.
