Job Description:

• 1) Tends screening and blending machine that removes rocks and twigs from coarse coke and mixes it with fine-ground coke to produce blended mix used to pack carbon electrodes in graphite furnaces: Shovels or dumps coarse coke onto vibrating screens.

• 2) Starts screens that separate rocks, twigs, and other materials from coke.

• 3) Starts conveyors that carry sifted coke from screening area and fine-ground coke from storage bins to top of blending tanks and dumps them into tanks.
