Job Description:

• 1) Tends retort vapor condensers used in destructive distillation of wood: Starts pump that discharges contents of receiving tanks into settling tanks.

• 2) Caulks doors of retort if leak occurs.

• 3) Turns valves on gasline or oil line to supply fuel to burners or to control temperature in retort.
