Job Description:
- 1) Tends mixer that makes lute used for sealing oven doors or tap holes in furnaces: Shovels specified amounts of materials, such as sand and clay, into mixing pan.
- 2) Turns valve to add water, starts machine, and mixes materials with paddle as pan rotates to obtain specified consistency.
- 3) Shovels lute into transfer truck.
- 4) May be designated according to material mixed as Adobe-Ball Mixer; Clay Mixer; or machine used as Wet-Pan Mixer.
