Job Description:
- 1) Tends mixing tanks to fortify sugar liquid extracted from beets with concentrated sugar liquids to obtain standard sugar liquor: Starts pumps and mixing tank agitators and opens valves to fill mixing tank with thin sugar juice and concentrated sugar liquid.
- 2) Tests density of sugar liquor, using hydrometer.
- 3) Pumps liquids into tank until specified density of liquor is obtained.
- 4) Takes sample of liquor for laboratory analysis.
- 5) Records operational data.
