- 1) Charges cupola furnace with slag, basalt, lime, and silica to produce mineral wool: Weighs and measures portions of coke, slag, basalt, lime, and silica according to formula specified in orders from CUPOLA OPERATOR, INSULATION.
- 2) Charges materials into furnace in alternate layers.
- 3) May use tractor equipped with scoop to move raw materials to storage and conveyors to feed materials to furnace.
