Job Description:
- 1) Compiles records of amount, kind, and condition of cargo loaded on or unloaded from ship: Verifies amount of cargo against lists compiled from bills of lading or shipping manifests.
- 2) Measures and records dimensions of cargo and computes cubic feet required for stowage aboard ship.
- 3) Records condition of damaged cargo unloaded from ship.
- 4) May prepare stowage plan showing location of cargo stowed aboard ship or rail car.
